By Raven Ross

You must learn to treat your sleep apnea right away. What is sleep apnea? Sleep apnea is the medical term for the disorder in which you stop breathing at night when you sleep, usually between the climaxes of breathing in or breathing out. Duration can last up to 10 seconds and sometimes can occur more than 400 times a night. It can lead to strokes and even death.

There are lots of symptoms revolving around sleep apnea, and they are always noticeable by another person when you sleep. The disorder itself is usually caused by a bad lifestyle. Many times, smokers, drinkers, and constantly stressed workmen are diagnosed with such a disorder. It will irritate you and cause you to be extremely fatigued all the time.

Sleep apnea really is serious. If you really want to find a permanent solution, then you must have some sort of surgery done. If it is not critical, then perhaps the better option will be to go for sleep machines.

Every single sleep machine works the same way. It doesn't matter if you get a CPAP machine or a BiPAP machine. Most of the time, there is some sort of mask that you wear while you sleep. You hook that up to a machine that will pump air into your lungs while you sleep and can help you keep your body functioning.

For the person diagnosed only with a mild disorder, you must know that you should use a CPAP machine. These machines are one way and will only help you inhale. It is affordable and usually very efficient. Mild patients are recommended to get these.

If you have heart disorders, then you must know that you need to use some sort of different machine. The BiPAP machine must be used in this case. These machines institute and facilitate two way breathing and help keeps things pressurized.

Breathing is no problem because when you stop breathing, the BiPAP machine will pump air into your lungs and help you breath. It will also help keep you comfortable because the mask itself is pressurized and controlled.

Yet another form of machine is available called the ACAP machine. It is a form of CPAP machine, and it will help you breathe through pressurized means.
