The Similarities Between Team Fortress 2 Classes On Clanservers

By Christa Garrett

Some, when it comes to gaming server, some are more advanced and just plain better than others. The popular online game, Team Fortress 2 has some of the best servers available associated with the game. With a TF2 server, you get fast speeds, no clippiness, and the best functionality available on a gameserver to date. The high quality of the game server that hosts it is part of the reason that this game is so popular.

When playing on a Team Fortress 2 server, there are 9 different classes based on different skills and abilities. These 9 classes are broken down into three subclass categories. These categories are based around support, offense, and defense. One is not, however, required to play within these parameters, but playing with classes will ensure that when playing team oriented missions, you are using the best skills and abilities.

The Medic, the Spy, and the Sniper are the characters with specialized skills in the support category. These characters, as the name implies, are tasked with providing indirect support in order to help complete missions successfully. The Medic is charged with keeping teammates healthy, and, well, alive. The Spy cloaks himself to be indistinguishable from other players, while the Sniper provides long distance reinforcements.

Making up the offensive category is the Soldier, the Scout, and the Pyro. The Scout may be the weakest player on the game, but he makes up for it in both speed and agility. Far more durable and tough than the Scout, but not nearly as fast, is the Soldier. The Pyro, last but not least, is on bad baddie. Protected by a fire retardant suit, he launches a number of different fire themed offensives on his enemies. Obviously, by the name of the category of classes, this is the "front lines" of any mission.

In Team Fortress 2, the final category is the defensive category. There are three classes contained within this subcategory including the Heavy, the Demonman, and the Engineer. Charged with handling all matters defensive, this will be the class you want to use in the event that you are under attack. Though slow, the Heavy is tough. The Heavy can sustain the most damage of all the classes on the game. He can easily replenish his health by eating. The Demonman is armed to the gills, having two different styles of grenade and rocket launchers at his disposal. He combats attacks indirectly as this is his main purpose. Providing spot defenses for his teammates, the Engineer is the final member of this class.

You might choose to play with a particular class depending on your specialty, area of interest, or which "side" of the game you are on. Divided into three different subcategories, these classes all have their fair share of weaknesses as well as strengths. What type of battle or game mode you choose to play, and what your teammates are choosing for their classes is also a vital consideration to take into account when trying to choose which class to play.Keep all these things in mind and get ready for a fun gaming experience.
