The Skinny On Left-Handed Online Gamers and Mouses

By Angel Flores

A lot of people enjoy the social aspects of online gaming, not to mention they can be terrific fun. Tens of millions play them, so if they were not a source of fun they would not bother with it. As with all other things, you'll find some people better at games than others. Of course that is mostly true with people new to gaming on the net. However it's not so tough to get a rough idea about things soon enough. Naturally the right tools are helpful, for example - if you're left-handed, then a left-handed mouse will help a lot; plus having a no-quit attitude will also help. Here are a few tips and tricks to help you make sure that you have a good time gaming.

Gaming can be even more of a rough go if you're left handed - sometimes. Controllers are built, mostly, for right handed people. Fortunately, you can designate certain keyboard keys with many MMORPGs. It's not perfect, but you will have the power to make your own keyboard shorts for gaming. You can still develop into a role playing game demigod if you use the lefty mouse and the keyboard shortcuts.

Just try not to be like the Terminator when you're gaming. People will have a bit more respect if you can adopt a more humble approach when playing. Don't gloat too much, if at all, if you're better at something than someone else. At the same time, if someone else beats you at something, don't get too upset about it. Simply congratulate the other player on a match well played. Work to get better by identifying why you lost, and then try to improve. If you do that enough people will remember, and you'll have a good rep for yourself.

Don't forget that games are supposed to be fun. Games are meant to provide you with entertainment. They are not meant to be a substitute for real life. If you end up too wrapped up in a game it is important to realize you need a brain break, go do something else away from the game console, left handed mouses and keyboards for a while. Leave your computer alone for a while. Your ability to have fun will have an affect on the rest of your team mates.

The whole thing with online games is they're supposed to be fun for everyone. It can be easy to get so wrapped-up in something that it becomes super-serious - not good for anyone.

Online gaming is meant to be a fun past time. That's how they are engineered to offer to people. Some people get really serious, and if you do then there are other thoughts to consider. You need to have the right equipment (left handed mouses and keyboards if you are a leftie). Don't forget to be a humble gamer who takes advice well and treats people in a cool way. It's all much more fun when there are no "people" issues.
